Hobart’s Electric Go Kart Company is set to open its first retail outlet in the city.
Electric Go Kart is the first Australian electric car company to open a retail outlet, according to the company’s website.
Its Melbourne office will be located in the Hobart CBD, near the Hobson Street station.
It is not yet clear whether the outlet will be open to the public or be reserved for the owners.
The Hobart outlet is expected to be operational in mid-2019.
Electric Go Karts were established in 2014 and offer customers the option of charging their electric vehicles using a variety of energy sources.
The company said in a statement it had been looking at potential retail locations in Hobbs since 2016.
In a statement, the company said it would provide a full list of potential retail and business space for the Hobbs outlet, which would also be open for public viewing.
“We’re excited to have the Hobs outlet open for business, as it will allow our team to expand our business to Hobbs and the surrounding region, where our customers come from all over the country,” the company added.
A spokesperson for Hobart City Council said the council was “in the process of finalising details” of the new outlet.
Hobart’s largest city, Hobart, has a population of around 1.7 million people, according the latest census figures.
The Hobbs company said there would be a “very limited number of customers” who would be able to use the electric go karts.
However, it said its “goal” was to have as many customers as possible using the go karters in the coming months.
One of the reasons for its expansion in Hobbies, Hobbs, is that the city has become an attractive area for electric car development, according Mr Pate.
He said the city had “got the infrastructure in place” to attract more electric car owners.
“There are a lot of great locations in the CBD, particularly in the inner west and the south end,” he said.
“It’s very important to us to be able find more electric karts and more charging stations to serve our customers.
I think it’s great for Hobbs that we’re seeing a number of companies that are looking to open in Hobbans.”
