The electric cooler is here.
According to New York magazine, the coolest thing in the world is being produced in the United States.
This cool-looking device is powered by a solar panel, which converts electricity into a cool-ish beverage.
The cool-sounding thing comes with a touchscreen display, and it can store your drinks or even help you with the laundry.
New York describes the cooler as a “powerhouse of energy.”
Its makers are hoping to sell this product in stores by the end of this year.
“Coolers are just like the coolest things,” co-founder and CEO Josh Drexler said in a press release.
“We want to bring the coolest products to people.”
Drexlers father founded the company in 2012.
He says it is designed to provide the ultimate in energy efficiency, cooling, and convenience.
“The coolest thing is a little like a giant battery,” he said.
“When you charge it up, it has a little bit of a cooling effect.”
Drew Miller, the founder and CEO of Lava Labs, has been working on his own electric cooler since 2015.
Miller says the coolers “seem to be the most efficient coolers I’ve ever seen,” and he hopes to create more.
“Our goal is to have a product that will go on the shelves in the next 10 to 20 years,” he told NPR.
Miller said he hopes the cooler will help people get out of the house, and not only to stay cool in the cold weather.
He hopes the cool-in-a-can cooler will inspire people to start making cool things.
